I am a makeup junkie. I mean, I buy every new release on the market (high and low end), follow every makeup account on Instagram and am constantly wearing a full face of makeup to test out products. And ladies, let me tell you that this little compact is one of the best highlighters I have tried. For reference, I am usually some type of beige/naturally beige, sand color (about 2-3 shades darker than ivory). The darker colors may be intimidating, or maybe the pinks might be turning you off to this product, but honestly, if you swirl your brush into the entire pan, it gives you a beautiful golden highlight that I can see suiting light/medium- dark skin tones (might be a tad too dark for light skin tones). If you don't want to do that, that's the beauty of the separate colors, because you can just swirl your brush into the section that you want. Most days, I find myself reaching for the top left corner of the 4 lighter shades to highlight my cheekbones. This highlighter does have the ability to be that beaming, seen in another universe highlight (just spritz any type of setting spray on to your brush). But it also can give you a soft, "glow from within" glows, that looks truly magnificent. It does not emphasize the texture on your face as much as some highlighters, and truly just gives such a soft, luminous look that is perfect for your everyday makeup routine. For comparison, I'll compare some drugstore and high end highlighters to this product-Wet n' Wild MegaGlo: this one is a bit more "beaming", but in a harsh way if you have any type of texture on your face. It will emphasize texture.- Elf baked highlighters (moonlight pearls): This one is the most comparable, but the Physicians Formula gives you a softer glow.-Essence "Be my highlight": this highlight is less beaming than the Physicians Formula one (although it can be built up to quite a glow), I would say that I love both these products equally, but for different reasons since the Physicians Formula one does give me a bit more glow which is great for quick makeup days, and gives me a little more variety of colors-Becca (Opal, Champagne Pop, Prosecco Pop): This one is on a different level in terms of a beaming highlight. If you want that highlight that you can see from the moon, this guy's your best friend. However, I do find that it's a little too much for the every day makeup and does emphasize texture, so I do prefer the Physicians Formula one over this.-Mary Lou Manizer: This one is also a beautiful highlight (hence why it's a cult favorite), but it does emphasize more texture than the Physicians Formula one, although it does have more reflectiveness to it.-Anastasia Glow Kits (any): Once again, it's more reflective/beaming, much like the Becca ones (although it is about a level down in terms of glow than the Becca ones), but it does emphasize texture for this reason.Overall, I recommend the Physicians Formula highlighter because it gives you such a beautiful, soft, 'glow from within' look and it does emphasize a lot less texture on your face than a lot of highlighters on the market. For the amount of color options you get (you can use these as eyeshadows too, they look great with a little makeup setting spray spritzed on your brush) and the quality, I would recommend this.

This is a really useful palette to have around. I use it mostly as a cheek highlighter, but it would be great for traveling because you can also use it as an eye shadow. While I don't really like shimmery bronzer or blush, it could serve as those in a pinch. For highlighter, I use just a quick swirl with a fluffy brush. It gives a nice, shiny highlight that stays all day. I don't find the highlighter emphasizes texture or does anything that looks bad on. I've tried it out for eye shadow, and it works OK. It's better with an eye shadow primer, but it does stay on well and doesn't crease. Because the palette has so many options for eye shadow, it works exceptionally well as a complement to a matte palette, especially one with other warm nude shades. You can create many, many looks with a few matte browns and creams and this palette. I find the coppery and gold tones in this palette especially good for that. The more cream tones work well for a brow or inner eye highlight. The packaging is cute, and I didn't realize it had an actual satin ribbon on the top that acts as a handle. Cute! The back opens up and has a mirror, a flat brush for highlighter/blush and a foam applicator for eye shadow or "eyeliner." There's also a mirror. This all makes it great for travel, where you don't necessarily want to take all your brushes along. This item is highly recommended by a number of YouTube makeup gurus, and they're not wrong. This is a high-quality and great addition to anyone's daily makeup wardrobe.

This was highly recommended by a couple of my favorite youtubers so i bought it on a whim. They are totally right - this highlighter is really really nice. it's very smooth, not at all powdery, no kick up, and last all day on my face. Being able to change the color and intensity is great as well! I've been using it for a while and i don't even see dent (it really doesn't look like anyone touched it), so it'll for sure last a really long time. The quality is just really superb, the color is super flattering, and i honestly can't say enough about how great it is.my only complaint is how bulky the packaging is, but it's very cute. But bulky. other than that, it's awesome

I love this product! I was disappointed that Physicians Formula no longer sells the Shimmer Strips blush that I used to purchase, and then I saw this product online and decided to try it. I love that it's not only a blush, but also an eye shadow. I have very sensitive skin, and since using this product daily for over a month, I have yet to have a breakout. My skin also suffers some hyperpigmentation from over exposure to the sun, and the shimmery effect of this product (along with the Physicians Formula RX Concealer), really minimizes any noticeable dark spots on my face. Please do not discontinue this product because it's fantastic.

This is an okay product, but after seeing people rave about it I expected a little more. The lighter powders in particular are a bit chalky and there is a fine mirco glitter in them, which I wasn't a fan of. This also definitely isn't the type of highlight you can apply with your finger. If you don't use a brush and really work it into your skin, it just looks like a strip of chalky powder on your face.
