It says no noise in the description but there is noise, especially on the high setting. It's still rather quiet but it has an auto setting so it'll randomly change to the high setting and get louder. When I lift the tank to refill it, there is water that drips or comes off it but it is just water so it dries it's just annoying. Other than that I don't really have any complaints. I used it on the auto setting and it'll last about one day. On the lower setting, it'll last more than that, but I can't seem to get it to stay on a low setting. It doesn't put out any mist or anything it seems like it's just in an idle mode. I am planning on contacting the seller about it because I don't need it on the highest and warm setting all the time if at all. Update: Seller gets back to you within 24 hours and is super helpful. My filter started to have a mildew smell and they sent me a new one now problem. There was a little mix up with the product I needed but third time’s a charm and now it’s working perfectly again.

First of all, I know my humidifiers. I've been using one nightly for almost 10 years. My first one was the old Vick's warm mist humidifier. It was great until it died 4 years ago. I've gone through about 4 useless ones trying to duplicate it's performance. Finally, this one has passed the test. It puts out a ridiculous amount of warm mist....which is perfect for me. I literally have to turn it off sometimes because the air in my room becomes "almost" too moisturized (on the high setting).....which I never thought I'd say with these super dry sinuses. I haven't used the cool mist function. The warm mist function has high and low setting. If I fill it up before bedtime and sleep with it on high, it'll easily make it to around 10am before needing a refill. If it happens to run out, it beeps very lowly about 3 times and then turns itself off. One reviewer said that beep noise bothered her at 3 or 4am...I sleep very lightly and have never been awakened by it. The remote is sleek and cool, so is the unit. All the bells and whistles. Very modern. It's about the size of 2 old yellow pages phone books, turned on their side and put together. I love that you can also set it to a humidity level you want to achieve. Once it gets there, it can turn itself off. Around 60% is very comfy for me.

I ordered it on June 20th at 8:55pm PST. It arrived today, June 22nd at 9:07am PST.I went to the store and bought 2 jugs of 1 gallon of distilled water. It was easy to put together. Now, not only I can feel the difference and breathe better at home while it's hot outside (El Cajon, San Diego, CA), I am able to use my Young Living Essential Oils with this machine. No sound at all. I'm hoping to make this one last longer. With this price, it's perfect for house warming party, wedding gift, Christmas presents.I'm using the cool feature right now, and I have it on the strongest mist (3). It's been an hour and there are no signs of wet surfaces around it including the floor.

Works really well for our reptiles and us!! With a small modification (literally only a 1 inch tube, a silicone ice tray and clear packing tape) we were able to provide humility for our reptiles as well. In fact it worked too well. Everything in the glass enclosure is soaked and we are actually trying to figure out how to dry it all up.Like most my life is pretty busy. I never thought of getting a humidifier for me, I was literally only trying to automate the misting and humidity for our (my daughters) geckos so they could get back to a normal habitat schedule instead of being subjected to the randomness of my schedule. Yet I found it has also been a real bonus for me as well. It has really cooled down and created a cool comfortable space in my room. Allowing me to cut down on using the A/C. The humidity sensor and mix of warm and cool mist are also briallant. As for the tank size, fantastic!! We have been running it almost non stop for over 24 hrs, while we were learning the proper levels, and it still has a little over 1/2 tank left. Now that we've learned I can see it's going to last a while.

It has been a week since I purchased this on Amazon. I did so based on reviews and my preference for its style that I liked. Please take Note that my review is based on a VERIFIED PURCHASE. I paid in full and I am not swayed by reviewing a "free" item. With that said, I wanted a reliable humidifier that actually work. It has been a week and it working perfect. I love it. No issue whatsoever. I clean it after every 5 runs (as per the directions) and everything is great. The unit is whisper quiet. Overall, fantastic humidifier that we keep next to our bed. Initially my wife wasn't enthusiastic about it as it isn't necessarily as "pretty" as the other humidifiers; however, when the mist setting is high and the nozzle is faced towards the bed, it does an amazing job of pushing the mist over our faces while we sleep.

We've had this humidifier for a couple of weeks now. We're very happy with it. We live in New York where the air is cold and dry in the winter. The humidifier has two vents on top that allow you to direct the fine mist to where you want it to go. Ours is set up near a wall so that feature is great. It has an auto mode that sets the humidity at any percent which you want it. We keep ours set on 45. It has a night light that dims the blue light on the control panel. We keep it set on this mode. The water comes out in a very fine mist. You can set it for warm or cool. We like the warm mist. It is well constructed and completely silent when in use. We have it in our bedroom. It has an auto cutoff for when it runs out of water. We like that feature. We don't have to worry about checking it constantly. We have witnessed it cutting off when the water runs out. It's the best product we've purchased in a long time. We keep it running 24/7. I can tell a huge improvement with my dry skin and coughing. Although it's the end of November, our heat is running. We don't get dehydrated from the dry heated air. We both seem to sleep better at night. Water fill up from the bottom as opposed to the top. It's easy to do. there also come with filter which only replace it once a year. You can also set up aromatherapy with it. We haven't had a problem refilling it. It's an awesome little machine.

I bought this to replace the cool mist humidifier that i purchased last year. The cool mist one didn’t do nearly as good a job at keeping the humidity steady in the house and the cool mist one was much louder. After messing around, i have the machine set on 45 percent humidity and it keeps the 3 rooms it is supporting at about 52% humidity. We use these in the winter to offset the dryness in the house from using the furnace.I used the automatic setting on the machine and it used a lot of water, i had to fill it about 3 times a day. But, on 45 (and 50) percent manual setting, i only have to fill it about every 16 to 18 hours, depending on how much the furnace runs. It has a very small footprint and it is super quiet. I got it during Black Friday weekend on sale for 94 bucks. I am tempted to buy another one at 110 bucks for the other half of the house.I hope that i’m Able to purchase filters for it later as promised by the MFG.

Works well. This works as well as $200 units but lacks the elegance of those units (see list below):Pros:* Lower Cost* High Performer* Humidity detection seems to be more accurate than mostCons:* Loud (electrical relay switch)* Poor design allows for condensation collection to be distributed from bottom when lifting for filling (needs serious redesign)* Poor instructions and lacking clear details of exact operations.* Unlikely to last more than a couple of years* Water tank handle too small -- likely to eventually drop tank when filled. (tank will not survive even a few inches drop when filled).* Ultra-light base.Would buy again if the price was right. Without question this unit pumps out humidity like few I've ever seen, but keep in mind the limitations. Seriously consider extended warranty on this item for less than $7

It seems that every winter I buy a new humidifier only to sigh in disappointment as I know that Ill be putting up with it bcause it's just too much trouble to go through returning and choosing another and that it will get 'tossed' once winter and the super dry apt/radiator heat are done. For the very first time--EVER-- I just cleaned and packed the Elechomes Humidifier away for next winter!! IT IS THE PERFECT HUMIDIFIER...AT LAST. The control panel and corresponding remote make customizing humidity level, temp and mist level incredibly simple and utterly effortless. The two way directional mist vents, one larger and wider than the other, allow targeting one toward me directly while the other provides coverage for the rest of the room...aahhhh. The removable water tank is HUGE and depending on the mist volume you choose--not to be confused with humidity level which is a godsend in and if itself--can last for days without the needing to refill!!! AND I don't know whether it's because I only fill the take with filtered water or not it NEVER NEEDED cleaning!!! I did wash it out once but only because I couldn't believe it didn't need it though I couldn't see or sense any nastiness. This was a truly well concieved and perfectly designed humidifier! My sinuses, skin, hair and plants got through an entire winter in a pre-war apartment with normally painfully dry radiator heat without a single complaint; NO ITCHY SKIN, NO HEADACHES and HAPPY PLANTS that continued to thrive rather than suffer till spring!! Thank you Elechomes!!(ONE NOTE: I do have a small disappointment however. At sime point there appeared a white cloudiness to the top of an otherwise crystal clear water tank. One day it was just there!?! It was on the inside and had a slightly roughish texture. I'd NEVER added anything but purified or distilled water. It wasn't a 'collection' or growth of any kind...I cant figure it out. And the only reason I mention it is that I am bothered that a truly sleek high-tech looking humidifier now has a 'hiccup'...a beautifully crystal clear water tank has a cloudy top and as the unit is right smack in the middle of the room at all times, this cloudiness is visable at all times...and I'd be lying if I said it didn't bother me aesthetically as much as the whole unit pleases me asthetically.)

This humidifier worked great for 27 days. Then it started leaking from the base. Not the tank. Unfortunately, I purchased two more for my house before the one at work started leaking. I contacted via email the warranty claims office twice and received no response. The site states they will contact you within 48 hours. It has been two weeks. You have been warned.

This unit puts out great humidity, can provide warm or cool mist and has a decent size water tank. However there is room for design improvement......Specifically, the iconography on the buttons is confusing. This is a challenge given the number of buttons/options on the unit. I love the control flexibility but you must to refer to the owners manual every time you turn it on and set the levels.Filling the tank is a challenge also. The carry handle is on top but you must flip the tank upside down and remove a screw-on cap to fill it. Holding the tank while filling is awkward. An additional handle would have been nice. The biggest issue is the beeps it emits. The unit runs super quiet. However if the unit runs out of water in the middle of the night it emits very loud beeps and shuts itself off. In addition, every time you press a button it also emits a loud beep. None of these these beeps can be disabled or volume controlled from what I can tell. So if you want to refill or change the settings while someone is sleeping in the room you are guaranteed to wake them. If you want to run the unit on high throughout an 8 hour sleeping period you will be awoke when the tank runs out and the unit shuts itself off. Despite it being very quiet while operating, I would not recommend it for a bedroom due to the beeps! Otherwise this is a great humidifier.

Honestly I would love to give it a much better rating, since it does work well, but there are too many flaws with this product.First off, the biggest issue is that it leaks like crazy. I did not realize how much until I put a baking pan under it this morning. After about an hour of running, I had a completely soaked body towel. I am glad I put the pan under it, because all of that was going in to my hardwood floors. The leaking is due to a very poorly designed vapor system, that goes up between the tank and the base unit, this leaks vapor out the sides constantly as there is no seal, just plastic on plastic. There is not likely any fix that I will be able to do on my end to eliminate this issue. If that was not enough of an issue, the humidity settings get reset every time you turn the unit on. This is absolutely insane, there is no instance I can think of where you would want to have to set the humidity level every single time you use the unit. It would only make sense if I was unplugging the unit and the memory reset, but this is not the case. The final fatal flaw for this unit is that the humidity sensor is completely worthless, if you watch it the values will change very quickly. I suspect this is either due to the leaking issue or due to them using a low quality humidity sensor (something like a DHT11). I should test this with my DHT22 when I get a chance. All of that being said, the unit does put out a lot of vapor and will increase the humidity level in the room quite quickly. It is nice having a 6L tank, which I generally only have to fill once a day. The controls are easy to use, I just wish it would keep your settings. The aromatherapy functionality does work, but it seems gimmicky as I only notice it when the unit is not running.

I've updated this review after a few mishaps, but good service...Functionally, this product is great out of the box. It's quiet, it's one of the nicest contemporary looking humidifier out there that doesn't look medical.it works very well at providing supplement humidity in a room during the dry winter. The warm steam is very efficient and the user interface pleasant to use. The only downside at first was filling the tank which requires to lift and flip it. It becomes difficult not to get water drip all over when refilling. It is hard to open the cap to refill. It's secure without a lot of force. But at the same time it is hard to unthread due to the large seal. You also have to keep up with cleaning or it will have a lot of scale build up. It's still way better than moldy filters from other humidifier. The first unit fan and water tank failed. They sent me a replacement that was a mistakenly very badly used unit. After some time they were able to send me a new unit. it has been working well for the last few month. The service I received was very good in term of honoring the warranty and trying really hard to make it up to me. Hence why I gave it a 4th star.

To be honest, I am still getting used to this. So I will share what I know.My bedroom has vaulted ceilings and being a master, is definitely what I would consider a larger room.- looks- holy cow this thing looks slick. The buttons, the design, it looks super expensive and much nicer then any of the humidifiers I have had in the past.- filling it up- not the easiest. It has a little handle to help, but I worry with the weight of the water it may snap.- remote- prob the coolest part- how long can it run- I am still figuring this out. The paperwork that comes with it is very basic. not much good info there. The first night it ran out before 8 hours were up- it beeps loudly instead of just turning off which is super loud and annoying. (especially with 8 beeps)I have bought some pretty ugly humidifiers from Bed Bath and Beyond in the past that were comparable to the price on this one and they blew this one out of the water with mist output. I may need to adjust more of the settings, so im hopefull I can find the right settings to have this not beep loudly in the middle of the night but also give me what I need humidity wise.

I like the machine. Does a good job. Fyi, goes through water quickly. Also, when disconnecting the removable water tank, water spills. Just have a small towel handy. Utilize the scented oil compartment(small tray on the side) to add aroma to the mist. Had a timer feature, which helps control the water usage.

The humidifier makes a lot of noise when first turned on. Sounds like a jet is about to take off. We had a different humidifier by another brand, and the same noise was a precursor to it breaking. Hopefully, this one doesn’t break.Otherwise, decent product. No labels or explanation of the functions (buttons) on the remote and the main body of the item - you are left to figure out (and remember) what function each button commands.REVISION: I added a star (now four instead of three) because it hasn't failed yet, and we've gotten accustomed to the initial noise upon startup. Also, the backend service and response to this single review has been very impressive. They have worked hard to make the situation right, and I know that if the humidifier did break, they'd be there to support us. That alone is worthy of a fourth star! I just can't give a fifth star because the noise at startup really detracts from our enjoyment and often wakes up our 6mo old daughter...but we just start it before she's asleep, so there are workarounds.

I have really bad environmental allergies (grass, trees, pollen, my DOGS, and etc.) and I suffer from allergy induced migraines several times a week. I have a couple of smaller humidifiers and a small diffuser for essential oils but I was looking for something that was bigger and could cover a larger area. This replaces two small humidifiers and my essential oil diffuser!I was expecting this humidifier to be bigger than it was but it is actually more compact looking (which is good for me). This is a bit deceiving considering how big of an area it can cover. It has a very sleek and modern look to it and the remote control is big plus. When this says it blows hot and cold air that is also a little deceiving. It does blow warmer or cooler air but not to be mistaken for something that will heat or cool or a room by any means. It just means you can feel a slightly warmer or cooler mist if you are standing right beside the humidifier. You definitely want to read over the instructions thoroughly before use because it takes a little getting used to but once you familiarize yourself with the basics, it is relatively easy to use. When you first plug it in and turn it on, it will have an annoying dinging sound for about ten seconds or until you add water. Once in use, you can definitely see that it is working because it will have misting/vapors coming up from the top of the unit. Keep that in mind when you decide on the placement for this humidifier. Fortunately, you can adjust the direction for the mist/vapor. The unit itself isn’t too loud and is so sleek that it just sort of blends into the room so it isn’t something that you feel like you need to put away when not in use. It is actually pretty cool looking. It is also easy to remove all of the parts to properly clean everything when not in use. The digital display is large enough to read without any issue and makes it easy to adjust your settings to your preference. I mention this about the display being easy to read because I need my cheap “old lady” reading glasses to read just about anything nowadays and I didn’t need them to operate this humidifier.I really like how I have the area off to the side where I can add my essential oils when I am dealing with a migraine. I mainly use peppermint essential oil or a special blend of oils for migraines. The humidifier helps with my allergies and the essential oils help with my migraines so I am pretty happy to have the two things combined into one unit. This was more money than I was planning to pay for something like this but so far, it seems like a good investment so I am glad I went with this particular humidifier. When winter comes I will probably have it running all day and night.I am including a few pictures. A picture of the unit while it is running to show the misting/vapors coming from the humidifier. A picture of this after it has been taken apart and cleaned so you can see how easy it is to disassemble for cleaning and drying. Also, a picture or two of the essential oils tray (my favorite part of this).

This humidifier vaporizer is definitely different to other options available. It looks like a modern home appliance, not trying to hide functionality in a vase or some other form factor. On the pro side:It does what it says on the box, it can turn about six liters of water into vapor - and it does it well (except when it doesn't)On the con side:The unit has started to fail after only a few weeks. Thinking the reservoir is empty when it is 90% full.Operation is noisy, making vapor is hard work - and the unit bubbles and gurgles away while it does it.The unit itself is needy - when it runs out of water instead of just silently shutting down it beeps for thirty seconds or so - which is great at 2am when you are trying to sleep. It fills your room with bright blue flashing light. Take whatever position you want about blue light affecting sleep, the brightness, and the constant changing intensity is enough to interrupt almost anybody's sleep. It's messy - after use, the bottom of the unit remains filled with water. Removing the reservoir will drip water all over the surface around the unit, and all the way to where ever you want to refill it.Summing up - if you need a humidifier for your lounge room, office or some other common day area where noise isn't an issue - this might be the one for you. If you want to use it in a bedroom, get earplugs and an eye mask.

Pros: I have had this humidifier for about a month now. I am very impressed with its output anf ability to serve as the primary system to serve the whole house. An overall great design...the electronic settings offer plenty of versatility, from cool mist (low output) to warm mist (high output), with finer controls for each setting. It’s also very quiet and is barely noticeable. Easy to operate right out of the box.Cons:Would prefer a larger reservoir, as it will not run all night at the highest output setting. The output control based on humidity in the room is pretty useless. I would be very interested in this company making a model intended to sit on the floor (this is a counter/tabletop unit)Would highly recommend
