This stuff works amazingly well. My only concern is that it's very hard to wash off. I use a nightly facial scrub and one would think that would do the trick, but when I follow up with toner, I can see the color all over the cotton pad. After 3-4 attempts with the toner I could still see color on the pads? What is in this stuff that makes it stay on? I'm worried about clogged pores or breakouts although to this point it's not been a problem. I just use it less as a result.
I had high expectations for this. It failed me. The green did an okay job. But this concealer over all has very little coverage and is hard to apply. Starts looking cakey quickly and I AM SO MAD. Would never buy this again.UPDATE: This product broke out my face once I washed it off. ACNE everywhere.PS: The product is so small for the price and hard to blend without fingers
I am impressed with the coverage of this product. I have really dark under eye circles and I wasn't sure if I needed yellow or green or what I needed to cover them up! I love that this product has all the colors which then can be blended to the perfect shade for one's skin tone. I have been using it every day since I got it.
I only really needed two of the colors for my face, the pink for under my eyes and the green for any pimples I'd develop. The pink did run out fairly quickly as I had to use it every day, which is a little aggravating for me. I ended up buying a different Nyx product only with the color I needed so I wouldn't waste money on color correctors I don't need for my face.
This was my first “green” concealer and it worked wonders. There’s a skill for applying it without looking cakey but once you master it, the concealer works well. I like to use a moisturizer first and then apply the concealer to avoid a cake or cracked looked. The product itself isn’t too far off from face paint in texture and felt a tad drying so for me moisturizer was a must.1 Star off for the drying effect and look but overall, a solid 4 Star for the price.
My wife is a freelance make up artist and color correcting is sort of a new thing to her. Her first attempt with this pallete (we got this because it was cheap and easy to experiment with) didn’t go so well with the blending. She uses a matte airbrush foundation and the green did not blend well underneath it. A dewy foundation with medium to full coverage is needed to mask it. I’ve learned a lot from listening to her lol. It’s all mumbo jumbo to me.
