This kit was my first Lego Architecture purchase and I really enjoyed it. I had a great time spending a couple hours taking my time through the build process. The instruction book also has some nice info about the buildings themselves. Ended up with several extra small pieces that I'll be saving as spare parts for future builds. I will definitely be purchasing more of the architecture sets.
An awesome lego set. My only problem is that the book included with the set calls the Sears Tower the Willis Tower. As a Chicagoan, it will always be the Sears Tower. Great lego set; it was a fun and easy build and is cool to have a little piece of home on my bookshelf.
GREAT price on this. I recently visited Chicago and since I always bring my Lego-loving grandson something back when I travel I thought I'd 'cheat' and get this sent to my house while I was gone. They sell the same set at Willis Tower (Sears Tower) for double the price. He didn't know the difference and was thrilled. It comes with a really nice instruction book with a preface that shows each building (nice photography) and gives a bit of history on each one. (Instructions are in the back of the same book).
My 13 year old grandson loves Lego architectural kits. I gave him his first one and he was immediately hooked. Thus far he had completed Chicago Skyline, London Skyline, the Eiffel Tower and completing Sydney Skyline which he received for Christmas. So much better than being glued to a screen and very attractive to display on a shelf.
I love these legos. They allow me to relax while also learning a bit more about different architectural sites around the world. The only thing, and this has nothing to do with the actual product, is that I'd like to see sites from areas not so well known in South America, China, India, Spain. We all know the usual sites, but how about getting places not so well known as well.
I brought this for my 28yo boyfriend and it took him a good 2-3 hours to build. It was the first time he ever tried to build a lego architecture set and he had a really fun time! The instruction book is clear, but the pieces are small and there are A LOT of them so it's not super easy! This set a fun challenge for all age groups!
This was a fantastic build. I really enjoyed the process and the instructions were laid out nicely. I only really had a bit of trouble where I had to go back one step one time, but that was due to my ignorance. This was my first lego build since I was a child, 12+ years ago, and it took about 70 minutes to complete. I can't wait to get some of the other Architecture builds!
This is one of the best Lego skyline sets. I don't think I've ever had a bad experience with Legos. I could say the set is expensive but come on - they're Legos. They are always a bit more money than other toys. But it is worth it for the spatial and hands on 3D learning my kids get.
We love this set. Yes it is small but it has so many details. My husband is from Chicago and we are planning a visit there this year. It will be my first visit. It looks great on our shelf and I am sure will be a great reminder of our trip.
We have a trip planned to Chicago this year and thought this would be a fun activity with my son prior to. We learned about the buildings and the history of the city. This is a great conversation starter. It was smaller than I thought it would be but we still love it.
This was a gift for an adult who LOVES Legos! He is also a native of Chicago, so this was a great gift for him. It was a great value. It is on display in his living room.My only negative comment is it took him about 30-45 minutes to assemble it!
